Monday, June 4, 2007 (Shawnee on Delaware, Pennsylvania) – Spa Shawnee opens Thursday, June 21st, after three years of consulting and feasibility studies, the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is proud to say that “Spa Shawnee” is finally becoming a reality. As the final phase of construction is nearing an end, the historic resort crossed a major bridge in its process to open the amenity that both guests and community members have been anticipating. The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is proud to announce the hiring of Eve Bergeron as its full time spa manager.
Excited to join the Shawnee family, Eve brings with her more than 10 years experience in management and is well positioned to ensure success of the resort’s newest amenity. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Eve has been training with a Usui Reiki Master for several years now, learning to incorporate meditation and massage into therapeutic healings. She also has experience with Swedish massage in a clinical setting using both Therapeutic and Deep Tissue techniques. Eve moved to the Poconos in 2005 to attend the CDE Massage Therapy School in Stroudsburg, and in 2006, she received her National Certification of Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworks, graduating with high honors. While going to school and completing her certification, Eve became the Spa Manager for Corporate Health Connections; the company who’s CEO would later give her high recommendations when applying for the job at Shawnee.
Located in one of the most unique and historic hotels in the Pocono Mountains, Spa Shawnee will feature six treatment rooms offering an array of services including massage, facials, salon, pedicures, manicures, wellness programs and more. The décor will be of an Asian influence, drawing upon the Kirkwood Family’s (Owners of the Resort) familiarity with this fascinating culture. Teamed with Eve’s leadership and background, these features are sure to provide Spa Shawnee’s guests with an unforgettable – and relaxing – experience.
