The result of Asmar’s research has yielded four contemporary yet luxurious designs which communicate a gracious welcome and the ultimate standard in customer care, whether offered as an in-room amenity, or as a cover-up after a spa treatment:

Asmar developed the collections for hotels and spas with a diverse consumer base in mind, especially the male market. For instance, the WAFFLE and SPA PLUSH robes are offered in a sophisticated range of colors which includes earthy Charcoal, Chocolate, Butternut and deepest Blueberry, as well as Snow White, Soft Pink and other feminine colors. The garments are proportioned with generous kimono-sleeves, traditional shawl collars, useful front-pockets, ample length (the WAFFLE, SpaPLUSH and LUXURY VELOUR STRIPE robes range from 50” to 52” in length, and are designed with ample “cross-over” in front for modesty. “Consideration of this modesty aspect has never been more important than it is today,” notes Asmar, “since more and more spa and resort facilities offer co-ed relaxation areas.”
Particular attention is paid to subtle details which guests perceive and remember, even if on an unconscious level. For instance, the edges of the shawl collars and pockets of the WAFFLE ROBE are tastefully trimmed with matching satin piping. The FACIAL ROBE closes with smooth snaps, and the security pocket for valuables closes with a zipper en lieu of Velcro—“Velcro will shorten the lifespan of a garment, as it will catch and pull on the fibers of the robes during in-room use, and while being laundered,” says Asmar.
The collection represents the fusion of high-tech and high-touch, offering the low maintenance and stain, odor and mildew resistance of lightweight microfibers as well as the traditionally wholesome feel of classic, thirsty, pure cottons. “Stepping into a great robe makes the guest feel that all is right with the world,” says Asmar. “For this reason, these robes are an excellent item for the retail boutique, so the client can continue the ‘destination’ experience after returning home.”
