NAHA 19 Applications Now Available
from the Professional Beauty Association
July 16, 2007 | Las Vegas — The North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA), presented by the Professional Beauty Association (PBA), sets the standard for stylist achievement in North America. A list of past winners serves as a who’s who of influential beauty makers. Are you ready to break into fame? Enter NAHA 19!
Applications are available for download at www.probeauty.org/naha. For the first time, entrants may complete the NAHA application process online! Entries are due February 1, 2008.
New for NAHA 19! Online Forum. Visit the brand new NAHA online forum and check out the style scene. Discuss winning NAHA entries, share tips and tricks with your fellow entrants or just chat with other rising stars looking to win at NAHA 19. If you have questions about the entry process, this is the place to ask them. Look for past NAHA winners and industry super stars to make an appearance on the forum! The forum is online at www.probeauty.org/naha/forum/.

Categories. NAHA 19 entries are accepted in twelve categories:
Hairstylist of the Year
A collection displaying creativity, versatility and expertise in hairstyling
Master Stylist of the Year
Licensed professionals who have been artistic educators, role models and leaders in the beauty industry for more than ten years are invited to submit their latest collection. By invitation only.
Salon Team of the Year
Salon teams consisting of two or more team members employed at the same salon are eligible to enter. You must enter under the salon name.

Editorial Stylist of the Year
Given for the best cover or best editorial work published in a consumer publication
Student Hairstylist of the Year
Student must be enrolled in school or performing required hours in a salon and not be a licensed cosmetologist as of the February 1, 2008 entry deadline.
Make-Up Artist of the Year
Entrants must nominate their make-up artist on the entry form. The winner will be selected from among the finalists’ entries.
Avant Garde
Visionary work demonstrating new or experimental concepts in expressive, cutting-edge hair
Contemporary Classic
Classic commercial styles demonstrating excellence in haircutting and finishing
Fashion Forward
Images that demonstrate highly stylized hair and clothing—anything from trendy to “red carpet”
Haircolor
“Before” and “after” images demonstrating haircolor techniques
Salon Design
Images that reflect your salon’s (or cosmetology school’s) ambiance and style
Texture
Styles designed to complement the individuality of diverse hair textures
