As enrollments continue to come in for this year’s Global Spa Summit, we anticipate that the event will reach full capacity before registration closes, a few weeks before the Summit.
Some recent updates we want to bring to your attention: Sonu Shivdasani, CEO and Chairman of Six Senses Resorts and Spas will join the panel titled “Remarkable Ideas to Meet the Demand For Sustainability” and John Vanderslice, CEO of Miraval will lead the Boardroom Roundtable Discussion, “The Real Estate and Spa Formula – Getting it Right!”
We expect delegates from over 25 different countries to attend and are especially excited to welcome a group of Latin America delegates which has made for a very exciting line-up of panelists and participants for the session, “The Rich Mosaic of the Latin American Spa Industry”.
This year we will also be welcoming four students from Switzerland’s Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, four students from the Cornell School of Hotel Administration and two students from UCIrvine’s extension program. These top spa management students will attend as delegate scribes, assisting with logistics and taking notes during sessions.
It also appears as if we have quite a few people from the investment sector attending this year and are looking forward to hearing their point of view. Of particular interest may be the panel titled “Deal Makers Share Their Stories and Give Advice on Raising Capital” as well as “The Investment Potential: Where are the Risks and Rewards”. Leonard Fluxman, President and CEO of Steiner Leisure, Tom Gottlieb, Founder of Mandara Spas and several investment fund directors will be among the delegates joining these panels.
