Denver, CO (September, 2010) – National Association of Professional women selected
Arlene Malay Professional Women of the Year for her outstanding leadership and
commitment in the Esthetics industry, summer of 2010. Mrs. Malay has been in the
Beauty Industry since 1964 when she joined her mother and sister in their salon. She
worked for the next 18 years in Boulder, CO. Her husband’s job then took them to
Topeka, KS, then to Arizona. Mrs. Malay then decided, she would change directions in
her career and studied at the Institute of Esthetics in Tucson and found a great love for
the Esthetic side in the field of beauty. She was instrumental in opening and accrediting 3
schools in which she managed and trained instructors. Arlene worked as a Supervisor in
North County, San Diego for the next 7 years for two excellent colleges.
Mrs. Malay came back home to Denver in 1999 to help take care of her parents. She
started her own school in July of 2004, The College of International Esthetics, Inc.,
and is living her dream. Arlene knows from her years of experience that her goal for
her students is they receive all they deserve in esthetics including education “Beyond
the Basics”. The student clinic, under instructor’s supervision, provides services at a
discount rate to the public, such as Mini Facials, European Facials, Paraffin Facials,
Microdermabrasion, Chemical (Peel) Resurfacing, Herbology, Permanent makeup and
airbrush tanning. The school hosts’ special events through out the year, such as Spa
Night out, Teen events, Botox, filler, Laser treatments and Indulge Yourself Day, perfect
for a night or day away with friends.
The College on International Esthetics has just completed the accreditation process and
will soon be applying to the Department of Education for financial aid. Arlene and her
staff are looking forward to the extending their 600 hour basic Esthetician Course to a
Master of Medical Esthetician Course of 900-1200 hours in the very near future.
