Phoenix, AZ (March 2015) – The Professional Beauty Association (PBA) will announce the finalists for the 2015 North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. EDT (10:00 a.m. PDT) via PBA’s Facebook page (facebook.com/professionalbeautyassociation). A special video created to showcase the amazing work and photography that represents the artistry of North America’s foremost hairstylists and make-up artists will be released to announce the finalists.
New for 2015:
Nail Professional of the Year: The Nail Professional of the Year award is the most prestigious recognition a nail professional can attain. Entrants could show a multitude of skills, such as embellishments, nail art and salon nails, demonstrating the excellence and artistry of the nail industry. The categories’ rules were created with participation from NailPro Magazine, OPI and CND. Entrants had to be a certified nail technician and did not need a hairstylist to nominate or enter the category.
People’s Choice Award: The voting for the People’s Choice Award has changed for 2015. This year, voting will take place on PBA’s Facebook page(facebook.com/professionalbeautyassociation) on May 11, 2015, following the Finalist Announcement for all followers to participate in.Then, a total of five finalists will be announced after the voting process closes on Wednesday, July 1. All five finalists will qualify for the People’s Choice Award and the winner will be announced at the NAHA 2015 Awards Ceremony in Las Vegas on July 12, 2015.
NAHA is the most prestigious photographic beauty competition in North America. Each year, individuals are recognized in various categories for their outstanding skill and artistry in the professional salon industry. NAHA entry and recognition adds prestige to a stylist’s or salon professional’s portfolio and places these individuals amongst the industry’s brightest and most talented artists. NAHA is part of PBA Beauty Week, North America’s largest, most inclusive beauty event hosted by Cosmoprof North America. NAHA is held on July 12, 2015, at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, NV.
