“In 2015 we recorded a record figure for the trade balance in the sector, which exceeded 1,900 million Euros, largely thanks to the steady growth in exports (nearly 3,700 million Euros) which represents a increase of 10.5% compared to 2014 – revealed Fabio Rossello, President of Cosmetica Italia – the high level of competitiveness demonstrated by Italian companies (the total turnover of the sector in 2015 exceeded 9.7 million Euros) is a direct result of their skill in intercepting and interpreting market trends: from trends relating to new products (for example, the explosion of multifunctional cosmetics) to the recognition of major consumer clusters such as the millennials and the ability to tap into the new possibilities offered by digital tools and social networks”.
