In celebration of Global Wellness Month in June, Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown launched a dedicated Heath and Wellness Menu in the Spa and In-Room Dining today.
Realizing the importance of a healthy and holistic lifestyle, Executive Chef Shaun Acosta designed a dedicated menu rich with vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, and nutrients that aid the body’s functionality and promotes overall health.
The Wellness In-Room Dining menu features a host of fruit, juice and smoothie options, most of which contain superfoods and promotes healthy organ function and boosts the immune system. In particular, the Energizer Smoothie, which features beets, blueberries, ginger, cold-pressed apple juice, and agave, has been a featured highlight on the standard In-Room Dining Menu since the Hotel’s opening in 2016.
Utilising only the highest quality and freshest ingredients from local organic farms and sustainable fishing practices, other highlights of the menu include yellowfin tuna poke with soy, sesame, sweet onions and scallions; a roasted beet salad with smoked goat cheese, radish, Brooklyn Lager vinaigrette and roasted sunflower seeds; and seared tuna with bok choy, furikake and brown butter miso.
Also featured are three vegan options offering a modern take on some traditional dishes. Featured items include quinoa tofu cake with sautéed corn, red pepper coulis, and cannellini beans; vermicelli noodles with market vegetables and laksa curry; and falafel with pita bread, cucumbers, tomatoes, harissa and tzatziki sauce.
The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown offers a slightly paired down version of the Wellness In-Room Dining Menu and focuses on healthy fruit, vegetable and salad dishes that can be enjoyed either pre or post-spa treatment on either the Sun Deck or in the Relaxation Room.
The launch of the dedicated Health and Wellness Menu was inspired by the phenomenal success of Global Wellness Day in early June and the overall push towards a more healthy and holistic lifestyle by both guests and employees of Four Seasons.
This is just the latest initiative in an overarching wellness philosophy that has been implemented by The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown. This follows the creation of the Resident Healers Program, which was launched at The Spa in March 2018. Featuring three female healers, all completely unique in their field, the program has been an overwhelming success. In April 2018, The Spa also launched a partnership with Alexandra Soveral, the #1 Facialist in the United Kingdom, to become the exclusive retailer in the United States of the entire organic range of Soveral skincare.
