John Amico Products Celebrates Many New Awards & Achievements
Chicago, IL Supernatural Salon Cruises recently sailed from Fort Lauderdale, FL on the luxurious Costa Mediterranea Italian Cruise Ship throughout the Eastern Caribbean for a full week of education, awards, honors and fun as sponsored by the Share The Wealth Company of Chicago. Annual Supernatural Salon Cruise events are open to all salon and spa industry professionals.
This year’s Supernatural Salon Cruise participants sailed to San Juan in Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, La Romana in the Dominican Republic and Grand Turk. Share The Wealth involves a very unique professional salon product distribution and educational program, where salon professionals share their expertise, successes, rewards and experiences on this annual international excursion. Many participants actually earned a ‘free’ cruise trip through the Share The Wealth Membership Program. Some Share The Wealth cruisers visited historic sites while also enjoying the shopping, sunbathing, swimming, golf, snorkeling, horseback riding, boat rides and discothèques.
Supernatural Education: Known for a full week of providing advanced educational venues, participants took part in an endless array of exciting educational seminars presented by the cruise host — John Amico, Sr. of Share The Wealth in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on ‘Ten Steps To Achieve Success’ and John Amico, Jr. spoke on ‘The Top 10 Salon Keys To Success!’. Larry Oskin of Marketing Solutions in Fairfax, VA delivered 2 seminars on ‘Direct Mail Marketing’ and ‘Out Of The Box’ Marketing Strategies. Rudy D’Amico of Italy on The Latest European Haircolor Fashion Trends with Advanced Haircut and Haircolor Techniques; Donna Cummings of More Than Hair Day Spa in Dracut, MA on Long Hair & Upstyle Techniques, Frank DiLeo of DiLeo’s Hair Studio in Waterbury, CT and the USA Olympic Hair Committee on Advanced Men’s and Women’s Haircutting Techniques. There were many new hands-on lecture demonstrations and round table breakout seminars this year.
International Competition Awards: On board the ship, there was a Supernatural Hair Design Competition and Award Ceremony. Supernatural Award Plaques were presented in the ‘Total Look – Evening Fashion’ Competition with first to third place honors going to Tobi Cutler of More Than Hair in Dracut, MA, Lisa Rinkel of The Wave Salon in Shepherdsville, KY and Connie Ljungberg of Connie’s Magic Chair in West Jordan, Utah. In this year’s ‘Fashion Haircut and Upstyle’ Competition, first to third place honors went to Maggie Pottratz of Maggie’s Total Dimensions in Clinton, IA, Stephanie Kauffmann of Just Teasin Salon in Farley, IA and Kyla Clement of Reflections of Kyla Salon in Thibodaux, LA. This annual educational cruise also celebrated the success of many attendees with a special Salute to Excellence Award Ceremony. Rudy D’Amico, Kathy Canfield, Carolyn Sandman, Sandra Seeley-Copley, Rhonda Murphy, Donna Cummings, Connie Ljungberg, John Zeman, Sr., Frank DiLeo, Elaine Amico, Thomas Serra, Bill Cruz and Larry Oskin of Marketing Solutions earned additional Supernatural Awards.
