WARRENTON, Va. – Jennell Nelson-Outerbridge joins Nova Medical’s Warrenton facility as the newest member of the integrative medical group.
A board-certified clinical dermatologist and skin surgeon with more than 11 years of experience, Dr. Nelson is an expert in the treatment of severe skin disease in adult and pediatric patients. Her philosophy and passion for providing personalized healthcare are a compliment to Nova Medical’s patient care model.
Prior to joining Nova Medical, Dr. Nelson was a dermatologist with the Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic Group for seven years. She also served as the chair of their cosmetic laser program. A native of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, Dr. Nelson received her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in 1996. She began her medical training in 1997 as an internal medicine intern at the Washington Hospital Center, and finished as a dermatology resident at the University Hospitals of Cleveland in 2000.
Dr. Nelson has written articles that have appeared in a number of academic journals. She is an active member and lecturer for numerous organizations, including the Washington, D.C. Dermatological Society and the National Medical Association’s Dermatology Section. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
