
Hong Kong–[30 October 2013]– The 18th edition of Cosmoprof Asia
will take place in Hong Kong from 13-15 November 2013 at the Hong Kong
Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Around 2,200 exhibitors will take part
in Cosmoprof Asia 2013 and over 55,000 visitors are expected to attend. The
upcoming edition will be packed with new features and a full programme of
events.
HAIR SHOWS
The spotlight event of the 2013
edition will be two extravagant hair shows hosted by Intercoiffure China (ICD
China) and SHISEIDO PROFESSIONAL.
Intercoiffure (ICD) is the world’s top hair designers
association. The theme show “Intercoiffure, Vision of the Elite” organised by
ICD China will feature Klaus Peter Ochs, President of Intercoiffure Mondial;
Joakim Ross, Art Director of ICD; Yasunori Shichijoh from Japan; and the best
artists from Hong Kong and China to share their artistic vision, creativity and
superb sense of vogue in a 3-hour non-stop performance. Taking place on 13
November at the HKCEC Convention Hall, “Intercoiffure, Vision of the Elite”
promises to be an international, professional and frontier-pushing hair trade
rendezvous.
Led by Tadashi Harada, the SHISEIDO PROFESSIONAL
Creative Team provides hairstyling and makeup services for product launches by
global fashion brands across print, television commercials, and live fashion
shows. Together with the creative teams from Beijing Hair Culture and Hair
Corner of Hong Kong, they will unveil the next trends in creative hairstyling in
the “Beauty Odyssey Hair Show”. This event takes place on 14 November also at
the HKCEC Convention Hall.
1,000 hairstylists and salon owners worldwide
are expected to attend each of these performances.
INTERNATONAL NAIL
DAYS
A new exhibition area will be dedicated to “Nails &
Accessories”. All segments of the nail market will be represented – from nail
care to nail art, from decoration techniques to product trends as well as the
latest textures. Located at the Grand Hall, this new sector will present 127
exhibiting companies across 2,200sqm of exhibition space.
This new sector will be enlivened by the
“International Nail Days”, a 3-day programme designed to connect industry
professionals and foster exchange and networking:
On 13 November, the
“we LOVE your NAILS” seminar will feature the editor-in-chief of “Love Nails”,
the leading nail publication in Italy. The magazine and its blog will examine
international trends in the nail world, and dive into the most innovative
textures and colours for next season. On 14 November, famous beauty bloggers
from East and West will come together, virtually or in person, at the media
event “Let’s Connect with International Beauty Bloggers” to demonstrate their
nail art creations, review the latest mix-and-match fashion style, “live” blog
their hot picks and share personal tips with audience. At the same day, the top
10 most-liked winners of the “Like my Nails” facebook contest will be invited
onstage to display their creations and receive their award. The International
Nail Days will reach a crescendo with the prestigious Hong Kong Professional
Nailist Union Competition organised by the Hong Kong Professional Nailist Union.
COSMOPROF ASIA SPA CONFERENCE
The 6th
“Cosmoprof Asia Spa Conference” to be held on 14 November will feature 13
high-level speakers and will focus on the operational and marketing aspects of
managing a spa business. This year, SpaFinder Wellness President and
CEO/Chairman of Global Spa and Wellness Summit (USA) Susie Ellis will present
the keynote “Top Ten Global Spa & Wellness Trends”. In addition, a panel of top
spa operators will discuss how to market a spa, expand business and understand
customers’ needs.
INDUSTRIAL AND TRENDS SEMINAR
The “International Cosmetic Conference 2013: Seize the Opportunities of Cosmetic
Channel Sales in China” will analyse the characteristics of and the changes in
both distribution channels and consumer needs, giving businesses wanting to
expand into China a better understanding of the market. “Japan market: Consumer
Needs and Sales Channel” will look into the Japanese cosmetics market, providing
an overview of consumer trends in Japan through an analysis of social media
dedicated to cosmetics. Kline & Company will release its recent findings related
to the booming at-home skin care devices market at the “Self-Service, High-Tech
Beauty – East meets West in the Beauty Devices Market” seminar. Beautystreams,
the leading trend source for the beauty and packaging industries, will return to
share insights on “Finding Equilibrium: Autumn/Winter 2014/15 Forecast Trends”.
Finally, the regulatory seminar “Overview of the Latest Cosmetic Import
Regulations – China & Europe” will explain the latest registration systems,
challenges and difficulties when entering China and European markets.
BEAUTY TO BUSINESS BLOG
In addition to its Facebook
fanpage, Cosmoprof Asia has launched another new digital initiative: Beauty to
Business Blog. The event’s official website – www.cosmoprof-asia.com – has added
a blog space where industry professionals can catch up on as well as contribute
news, articles, trends, innovations and reviews, and participate in open
discussions on issues that are important to the industry. The blog will further
serve to promote and update on the features and happenings at Cosmoprof Asia
2013.
