August 7, 2017 – LightStim is honored to sponsor The 2017 Global Wellness Summit to be held at The Breakers Palm Beach, October 9-13, 2017.
The Global Wellness Summit is an international organization that brings together leaders and visionaries to positively impact and shape the future of the global wellness industry.
In 2015 Global Wellness Summit co-founders established a separate entity, Global Wellness Institute™ (GWI), a non-profit educational foundation whose mission is to empower wellness worldwide by educating the public and private sectors about preventive health and wellness.
LightStim has designed, engineered and manufactured light therapy devices to address a variety of issues from skin rejuvenation and acne to pain and healing for over 16 years. In October of 2016 they launched their latest and most ambitious project – the LightStim LED Bed. Five years in research and development, the bed is the first ever FDA cleared full body LED device to hit the market. The LightStim Bed is FDA cleared for the temporary relief of minor muscle and joint pain, arthritic pain and stiffness, muscle spasms and soreness, and increased blood circulation. Studies show, however, that low-level light therapy may offer many additional health benefits including protection from cardio vascular disease, improved immune function, and reduced oxidative stress; conditions that have a profound impact on overall wellness or lack thereof.
“We are delighted to have this wonderful opportunity to interface with those who share our belief that health and well being are not an occasional spectator event, but an ongoing participation sport,” said Joniann Marchese, LightStim’s President. “The whole premise of light therapy is centered around stimulating the body’s inherent ability for healing and repair in a natural and non-invasive way. We believe that utilizing technologies like ours along with certain shifts in our thinking and habits can absolutely make a difference in the quality of our lives, and we are excited to take part in this dialogue.”
