Born in 1937, Nasser Rahnama recently passed away. Simply known as “Nasser” and as a very humble man, he truly had a passion for the professional beauty industry. Rahnama graduated from American University, before he started his career in the beauty business. He first worked with Morris Jacobson as a salon sales representative for Potomac Beauty Supply in Maryland before moving to work as a partner with Albert Auslander at Universal Beauty Supply. He later worked in salon sales with Steve Katz and Ken Gilman at Davidson’s Beauty Supply. He was instrumental in the launch of Zegarelli Haircare with Arnold Zegarelli. He then worked at Bio-Ionic for many years. Most recently, he worked in sales at Salon Elements. Nasser always saw the best in people. He wanted everyone to succeed. Sometimes misunderstood, his intentions were always good and he was true to his word.
Nasser Rahnama is survived by children Diane and Tommy Roland and Cameron Rahnama as well as a family of brothers, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom loved him and were his greatest treasures. Open to all, there will be a ‘Celebration Of Nasser Rahnama’s Life’ on Saturday, April 13 at the American Legion Sykesville Memorial Post #223 at 7327 Slacks Road, Sykesville, Maryland 21784-5982 from 4 to 8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to this same American Legion Post.
