Held in Cooperation with Cosmoprof North America
July 17 – 20, 2010 ¦ Las Vegas, Nevada
Phoenix, AZ (February 26, 2010) – PBA Beauty Week, in cooperation with Cosmoprof North America (CPNA), returns to Las Vegas July 17 – 20, 2010 for the professional beauty industry’s most distinguished business development, education, networking and celebratory event in North America. Joining PBA Symposium, the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA), PBA Beacon, Best Practice Club (BPC) and the annual City of Hope Gala, PBA Beauty Week brings these leading industry events together under one roof allowing attendees to maximize their participation and productivity. With its initial success in 2009, PBA Beauty Week aims to broaden its appeal in 2010 and remain one of the best investments professionals can make in expanding their business and careers.
“Professionals today have limited time and want to get the most out of the industry events they attend. No other show in the country can offer the multitude of first-rate educational opportunities, senior level business networking and special events in one venue and in such an exciting city as Las Vegas,” states Eric Horn, associate executive director – business development for PBA.
Maintaining solid attendance of over 24,000 in 2009 despite the economy, PBA expects 2010 to rebound and exceed expectations. PBA Beauty Week and CPNA will once again be held at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, July 17 – 20, 2010. An overview of events include:
PBA Symposium: Open to the entire professional beauty industry, PBA Symposium presents comprehensive education and networking like no other event. 2010 will feature keynote speaker, Susan Scott, author of Fierce Conversations: Achieving Success at Work and In Life, One Conversation at a Time and Fierce Leadership: A Bold Alternative to the Worst “Best” Practices of Business Today. Scott’s work on individual and organizational success will offer insight on how to grow, manage, and succeed in life and in business. Television personality and celebrity stylist Tabatha Coffey of Bravo’s hit “Tabatha’s Salon Takeover” will also grace the stage with her charismatic personality, charm and practical business intelligence.
In addition to the PBA Symposium General Session, break-out tracks will offer more intimate learning environments designed around specific topics including leadership, growing transactions, social networking and more. Attendees will have an assortment of topics to choose from, while staying focused on business building and advanced networking. Time blocks have also been incorporated to allow participants to attend CPNA.
NAHA: With record attendance and a truly remarkable show in 2009, NAHA is a “must attend” event. As the most prestigious beauty competition in North America, NAHA celebrates the artistry and skill of the professional salon industry. Held annually, this star-studded Awards Ceremony features a Red Carpet Reception, live entertainment and the recognition of industry greats and emerging talent. Featuring distinct programs such as Discover Beauty and the International Buyer Program, CPNA focuses on bringing tomorrow’s leading brands to the forefront and connecting decision-makers with companies looking to expand globally. Having continually grown over the years in both attendees and exhibiting companies, it is the quality of the buyers and the professional nature of the companies, which sets CPNA apart from other beauty trade events.
PBA BEACON: Designed to promote the next generation of professionals, BEACON provides an amazing opportunity for students to network and interact directly with industry leaders and learn how to jump start their career, market their services and operate a business successfully.
