With this seasonal shift in mind, the Nob Hill Spa has created the Vanilla Fig Sugar Scrub that combines the healing properties of vanilla with the sweetness of antioxidant-rich figs to prepare the body and mind for the change from invigorating summer to reflective Fall and Winter. To deepen the experience after the treatment, guests will sip on a special herbal tea by our indoor pool and enjoy a delicious Vanilla White Fig Square from the Big 4 Restaurant at the Huntington.

Beginning in mid-September and continuing through December, the 50-minute Vanilla Fig Sugar Scrub ($130) will include a specially-created scrub for exfoliation, followed by a Vanilla Fig shea butter lotion application to soothe and moisturize the skin.
The sugar scrub used in the treatment is a terrific exfoliate and antioxidant for the skin, providing the perfect way to shed summer’s last traces of dry skin and prepare for colder weather. Sugar also protects against free radical damage and rids the body of dead skin cells, lending to a much smoother appearance to the skin. Figs have been used for more than 2,000 years as a natural antioxidant and for their mild, slightly sweet scent. In addition, oil extracted from fig seeds also acts as an emollient to soften and relax the skin, while shea butter nourishes with Vitamins A, E, and F, creating a rejuvenating protectant for the skin.
