The first key to spa uniforms which move with the wearer: a unique, high-tech fabrication with just enough stretch. “We’ve created a flexible, resilient fiber which gives’ with movement, but has enough tensile memory to snap back into place”, she comments. “If the garment is too soft and yielding, areas of wear related stress, such as the seat of a pair of trousers, will stretch out and lose their original silhouette over time. But if the fabrication doesn’t have enough stretch, it feels like wearing a box. Getting the fabrication just right is a very precise process.”

• The URBAN FUSION, DOLCE and TUSCAN jackets for women, for example, features generous side-vents which allow the wearer to be seated to give a service such as a pedicure without the garment pulling, bunching or riding up over the hips.
