BeautyEurasia powered by Cosmoprof: leading the business. The international hub is the
winning appointment for the future.
Great success for the sixth edition of BeautyEurasia, the ?rst organized in partnership with Cosmoprof Worlwide Bologna:
over 20,000 visitors, up 15% compared to 2009 the foreign presence, from 80 countries (mostly coming from Iran,
Bulgaria, Syria, Iraq, Italy , Greece, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Libya, Germany, Russia, U.A.E, Ukraine, Morocco,
Egypt, Macedonia, Romania, Turkmenistan, Kuwait, Tunisia, Serbia, Netherlands) attended the event which was held
in Istanbul from 17 to 19 June 2010. Also interesting data on the pre-registration: +25% compared to last year.
Excellent results and great satisfaction, therefore, for the 252 exhibitors from 38 countries, involved in the presentation
of their production to the importers and distributors: the expectations to meet potential new customers and new
markets have been largely met through the involvement of an audience of international professionals. Not only
visitors from Turkey, then, but from many countries representing emerging markets and great potential in terms of
business such as Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, UAE, the Balkans, among others.
This positive response created great interest among European industry players, who are expected to participate in
larger number in the coming years and therefore to represent a growing share of the exhibiting companies. In view
of this, the organizers will make every effort to activate several initiatives to develop new programs for business-to-
business meetings.
Italy has been the focus country in this sixth edition. An International Buyer Program organized in collaboration with
UNIPRO, the Italian Association of Cosmetic Industry, allowed the Italian member companies to meet importers
coming from emerging countries such as Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia, Palestine, Jordan and Turkey, con?rming the
unparalleled quality of the Made in Italy.
Italy still in the spotlight thanks to the collective organized by ICE, the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade, which involved
25 companies, including Eurovetrocap, Gerard’s, Pennelli?cio Omega, Tenacta Group, Vitality’s, registering an
increase in ICE’s display area of 34% compared to last year and generating over 750 contacts in the three-day event.
With a total population of nearly 500 million people, the Eurasian region is con?rmed then a target area essential
for the international cosmetics industry looking for new business opportunities. An untapped potential yet to be fully
explored and understood. In this context, Turkey plays a crucial role in the strategic and commercial Eurasian market,
thanks to its geographical location, its cultural and linguistic peculiarities and is intended to strengthen its mission
further in the medium term. Turkey embraces a number of strong development markets for western producers will be
the place where they can ?nd new distribution opportunities not only professionally but also mass market.
The organizers, who in 2010 have paid particular attention to the mix of products in the exhibition, recorded an area
growth of 15% accounting for over 11,000 square meters of Tuyap Exhibition Centre and a wide selection of beauty
products aimed at the different channels distribution: mass market, hair salons, spas, packaging, private label and
contract manufacturer.
“The sixth edition of BeautyEurasia powered by Cosmoprof has been a success for all involved. The partnership with
Ipekyolu has con?rmed the correct strategic choice with the most appropriate timing: Istanbul is an important hub for
this area, offering great opportunity to international exchange. Given the success of this edition for the future we hope
to expand the presence of professionals from European countries such as France, Spain, Germany, England and USA
opening this event to a real process of internationalization”, Aureliana De Sanctis, CEO of SoGeCos SpA, has said.
Mahmut ER, President of the company Ipekyolu “BeautyEurasia is an event well-established for six years but this
edition ends with a note of particular satisfaction: the growth in terms of exhibition area and such increased visitors
?gure is a clear sign that the partnership was the right move. The know-how of Cosmoprof has enabled this growth
and will certainly be the engine for the development of the beauty business in the region”.
Appointment therefore to 2011 edition of BeautyEurasia powered by Cosmoprof to be held from June 16 to 18 at
the Tuyap Exhibition Centre in Istanbul.
