PBA Announces 2013 Minerva Beauty Cosmetology Scholarship Winners
Five, $1,000 Awards Were Given to Future Beauty Professionals
Phoenix, AZ (August 7, 2013) – The Professional Beauty Association (PBA) is pleased to announce the winners of the Minerva Beauty Cosmetology Scholarships. With more than 120 applicants, the selection process was challenging based on the caliber of candidates, however the PBA scholarship committee is proud to announce the following awards. Five, $1,000 scholarships were awarded to students who are currently enrolled in an accredited cosmetology program.
The 2013 Minerva Beauty Cosmetology Scholarship recipients include:
- Shannon Braunschwieg, Randolph, WI
- Sergio Estrada, Chicago, IL
- Erin Nieli, Lantona, FL
- Tricey Wilks, West Lafayette, IN
- Andrea Yocky, Venice, CA

In addition to the scholarship application, all applicants had to submit a letter of recommendation from an industry professional and write an essay answering the question “Why are you pursuing a cosmetology degree and how will you use this degree to better the lives of others?”
