Over 200 salon, spa and medspa owners gather for two-day
Team-Based Pay Conference in Itasca, IL on September 27-28, 2015
Itasca, IL. — Strategies, a leading national business management training and coaching company for salons, spas and medspas, held their second annual Team-Based Pay Conference, on September 27-28, 2015 at the Westin Chicago Northwest in Itasca, IL. Over 200 attendees were at the conference, as well as 14 exhibitors from leading industry business solution providers.
The Team-Based Pay (TBP) Conference is an annual gathering where “on TBP” and “not on TBP” companies can come together to learn, share, network their experiences and curiosities on Strategies' TBP business model. New this year, attendees were divided up on the first day for breakout sessions specific to their TBP experience.
The ratio of companies “on TBP" to companies "not on TBP" at the conference was roughly 2.5:1.
“After 22 years at Strategies, I have never witnessed the level of energy, excitement and engagement like I did at this year's TBP15 Conference,” said Strategies Founder & CEO, Neil Ducoff. “Our team gave all they had to inspire and change lives, and I think that’s exactly what we accomplished. To hear the countless stories of how TBP has helped all these owners transform their companies into extraordinary success stories was just awe inspiring. And to see so many non-TBP companies so eager to join those ranks, we just couldn’t be more proud.”
In addition to the multitude of breakouts and general sessions, TBP15 also featured a Team-Based Pay Owner’s & Manager’s Panel Discussion moderated Strategies Director of Education, Kristin Stutz. During this 90-minute panel, attendees heard from six well-established salons, spas and medspas, as they each shared their successes on TBP, as well as the obstacles and roadblocks they have overcome since making the conversion to TBP.
Also new to the conference, was the first annual Team-Based Pay Awards ceremony, which celebrated 2015’s brightest TBP salons and spas across eight categories. Industry icon, Ann Bray, was the feature speaker at the TBP Awards. Bray told her story of how TBP not only saved her family’s salon from closing, but how it helped them to become profitable and debt free.
The next Team-Based Pay Conference will be September 18-19, 2016 in Itasca, IL.
